Help CareerStaff Say Thanks with Our 2021 Nurses Week Video!
May 6, 2021 is Nurses Day, kicking off a week-long celebration of nursing professionals that runs through May 12 — the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. This year, we’re joining the celebration with a brand-new Nurses Week video and a full month focused on supporting the nation’s amazing nursing professionals!
At CareerStaff, we know that nurses are the heart of healthcare and patient care. And for those who may not have been paying attention before, the coronavirus pandemic has brought home the enormous importance of nursing professionals in every corner of the country, and the world, too.
“Especially with COVID, I feel like we are becoming more appreciated and valued by society for our worth and our diligence as health care professionals in any role we possess; not just doctors, or nurses, but aides as well,” as Stephanie, a Florida-based CNA and one of our CareerStaff Clinicians of the Month for January 2021, recently told us.
Our Nurses Week video is our way of showing our appreciation to these amazing, hard-working professionals. It’s all part of our mission to provide nurses with great careers and incredible job opportunities in locations all across the United States. We’ve got opportunities for nurses seeking local work, travel jobs, per diem assignments, correctional and educational facility jobs, and much more — check out our available nursing jobs here.
Celebrate Nurses Day 2021 With Our Nurses Week Video
As our Nurses Week video shows, the work that nurses do is more important than a day, or even a week. So the celebration is lasting all month! Join us here at CareerStaff as we follow the American Nursing Association’s game plan with a new area of focus every week of Nurses Month 2021:
- Week 1, May 1-9: Focus on Self-Care. Because mental health and physical well-being are so important, and too often neglected by busy nurses!
- Week 2, May 10-16: Focus on Recognition. Everyone knows it, but it never hurts to spread the word: Nurses are heroes, innovators and leaders.
- Week 3, May 17-23: Focus on Professional Development. The ANA’s free webinar on May 19 will focus on professional development, and we’ll also have plenty of career tips here at the CareerStaff Blog!
- Week 4, May 24-31: Focus on Community Engagement. Opportunities to engage virtually or in-person and help educate people about the important work nurses do.
All of these areas of focus are always important. But they’re even more important as we still face a nationwide pandemic. Throughout it all, CareerStaff has offered opportunities for nurses to help fight Covid-19 on the front lines. We’ve also shared stories from many of our nurses and clinicians about the impact the pandemic has had on their lives, careers and families.
“I am very encouraged and thankful for the immense support friends, family and strangers have extended during the last months,” said Jenessa, a registered nurse and one of the CareerStaff Clinicians of the Month for June 2020. “I think people always supported nurses and healthcare workers, but the recent level of support gives you extra wind under your sails.”
