June 16th to the 22th is National CNA Week 2022, a time to honor and celebrate the many hard-working certified nurse assistants working hard to keep people healthy each and every day. And as one of America’s leading recruiters of CNAs and other nursing professionals, we at CareerStaff Unlimited are proud to join in the chorus of voices thanking these essential workers for standing strong.
So, if you’re a nursing assistant or have worked as one in the past, we offer our warmest thanks and appreciation! We know how difficult your career path can be at times, and we know how hard you work to keep the nation’s hospitals, nursing facilities, clinics, home health providers, and many other care organizations running along every day of the week, month, and year.
National CNA Week 2022: “Standing Strong”
Given the challenges of the past few years, the theme of this year’s National CNA Week is especially on point. As the National Association of Health Care Assistants (NAHCA) explains on the official CNA Week website, the theme, “I’m still standing,” is meant to recognize this “incredible moment in history for CNAs” and their “incredibly positive impact” on peoples’ lives and communities. At CareerStaff, we want to recognize you for not only still standing but for standing strong.
And as one of the nation’s leading most prominent CNA associations, NAHCA is leading that charge. To that end, the organization is offering a number of activities, events, and webinars designed to help celebrate nursing assistants in the “skilled nursing centers, assisted living communities, and staffing and home health agencies they work.”
The idea isn’t just to thank CNAs, but to help give everyone the opportunity to “celebrate, recognize, and pay their respects to the incredible work that the nearly one million-strong contingent of frontline heroes does every day for elders and people with disabilities.”
To do that, the NAHCA is also offering a few free webinars during CNA Week, including “Laughter Yoga,” a stress-fighting session (June 16 at 4pm Central time), a chance to meet the NAHCA Board of Directors and hear some “tips from their many years of service” (June 17 at 3pm) and “Table for Two with Lori Porter,” a “one-on-one (virtual) conversation” with a ProMedica Senior Care leader (June 20, 1pm).
You can visit the CNA Week website for more details on the week’s webinars and access the CNA Week 2022 Toolkit for help promoting CNAs on social media and within your facility.

But don’t just take our word for it: Over the past few years, many CNAs have told us why they like working with CareerStaff in our Clinicians of the Month series. And they have some pretty inspiring things to say about the work they do, too.
“I remember the day that I decided to become a CNA,” Melisa, one of the CareerStaff Clinicians of the Month for April 2021, told us.
“Despite being a single mother, responsible for my mother, and having to cover 100% of my household expenses, I was able to wisely manage my time prioritizing my family, work, and study hours, so I could be able to accomplish my goals,” she added.
“It is rewarding to know I was able to achieve this goal despite the fact most people tried to discourage me by telling me that it was impossible.”
Alexis, a CareerStaff Clinician of the Month for June, 2022, has had a truly eventful career as a CNA, much of which was spent with the CareerStaff family: “I’ve gone from a new CNA, to a trainer, to a CNA 4 supervisor, to now being an educator,” she told us.
She also offered some encouraging advice for new CNAs: “Take each day as it comes — there will be good days and there will be bad days, regardless of where you work. Once you find a great company and facility … you will truly love coming to work each day.”
