It’s Women’s History Month! Women’s History Month marks a time to celebrate the rich achievements and vital roles that women have played in shaping society. As a leader in healthcare staffing, this inspiration shines through the many women on teams and in leadership roles at CareerStaff.
We believe in our core values: collaborative, supportive and unparalleled. These women leadership and management roles let us know what it is to be the third value. “Unparalleled” is a word that can be hard to define, but the unparalleled women at CareerStaff continue to do so by driving innovation every day!
Inspiring Women in Leadership & Management
These women are just a few of the many who have made history in their roles by leading, representing, and being instrumental in the culture we’ve developed at CareerStaff.
As we celebrate Women’s History, we are thrilled to highlight four of CareerStaff’s influential women in leadership and management roles: Michele Montiel, Amy Elliot, Alissa DeJongh, and Jaci Frazier!

Q1: How would you describe your role and journey at CareerStaff?

While not responsible for generating revenue, we provide reports that help all levels of the organization in making important business decisions.
Q2: What is your favorite memory at CareerStaff?
Many years ago, [the VP of Finance] couldn’t attend the budget review meeting, so I went instead. At the meeting, the Vice Presidents asked me to hold up a highlighter when they were talking too much. While we weren’t making history in that particular meeting, I still chuckle about the request!

Q4: How would you define the spirit of Women’s History Month?
Women’s History Month shows young ladies that they can set goals and achieve them. I have one granddaughter, and I hope she and any of my future granddaughters will have the confidence to follow their dreams/goals based on all the women who forged the path before them.

It’s exciting to celebrate and see how far women leaders have changed what leadership in the workplace looks like. We are strong, fierce leaders that bring significant value to the workplace & culture of an organization.

Q1: How would you describe your role and journey at CareerStaff?
Change has been a constant in my journey with CareerStaff. I began my career here immediately after graduating from college, holding six unique roles across two states. Q2: What is your favorite memory at CareerStaff?
In 2018, I planned a corporate fundraising campaign for Make-A-Wish Texas. Our events concluded with a Pie-A-Leader activity and a wish send-off party for a family local to our HQ in Irving, TX. We threw literal pies at our senior leadership, and our party included pumpkin painting and ping pong. These two days were a blast, and CareerStaff raised money for a wonderful cause!
