Meet A Few of Our Q1 2023 Core Value Award Winners!

Our culture is sustained by having members across the organization, such as our Core Value Award winners, making an impact every day. Each quarter, the company nominates members across teams that exemplify these values for employee recognition.

We asked a few of our Q1 Core Value Award winners their thoughts on what it means to be collaborative, supportive, and unparalleled!

Katie Stille

Talent Acquisition Manager

Q: How would you describe your role and responsibilities on your team?

I joined CareerStaff in October 2018 and started as a Talent Acquisition Specialist. At that time, it was a team of one, so day-to-day, the responsibilities varied from speaking with hiring managers across the company to hiring for all types of roles.

For the past two and a half years, I’ve led a skilled group of dynamic individuals focused on corporate recruitment.

Q: What is your favorite memory at CareerStaff?

My favorite memory would have to be the conference I was able to attend at the CareerStaff headquarters in Texas. I met many co-workers I interacted with virtually – some I even hired, plus seeing them showcase their skills and knowledge. It was an incredible, full-circle experience for me!

Q: What is the best part of working on your team and at CareerStaff?

The best part of working on my team and at CareerStaff is the life-long skills and relationships that you create.

Q: What is the importance of being collaborative, unparalleled, and supportive?

On the Talent Acquisition team, we have the unique opportunity to interact with all divisions here at CareerStaff. We are only successful when we collaborate with our hiring manager to support their needs. The goal of Talent Acquisition is to use our core values to be the best resource we can be.

Austin Judd

Sr. Travel Recruiter – Connecticut

Q: How would you describe your role and responsibilities on your team?

I recruit travel nurses in my role in the CT office. I get to work with incredible nurses daily, and being able to get them their dream travel job is a passion of mine. Our Connecticut office primarily recruits RNs and LPNs for roles in the LTC/SNF setting.

Q: What is your favorite memory at CareerStaff?

I would say being hired on is one of my favorite memories. The team was so welcoming, and I am thrilled to be a part of this incredible environment.

We have a great team, and I’m still learning every day. I have some incredible co-workers and mentors that make this company stand out from all others!

Q: What is the best part of working on your team and at CareerStaff?

I think the networking aspect of CareerStaff is such a great bonus. I get to work and collaborate with other team members, and I’m constantly learning new tips and tricks along the way. The office I work for is amazing (shoutout to CT Travel)!  Everyone is willing to lend a helping hand and make new coworkers feel welcome.

Q: What is the importance of being collaborative, unparalleled, and supportive?

I know it’s a cliche saying, but teamwork makes the dream work. It’s so important, especially in the healthcare industry, and when many of us work from home.

It’s pivotal to the success of yourself and your business unit as well to be collaborative, unparalleled, and supportive. It’s because of my bosses and co-workers that we have all seen success.

Amber Dalton

Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist

Q: How would you describe your role and responsibilities on your team?

When I started at CareerStaff, I oversaw staffing for our West Coast offices! In two years, I have taken over Finance, HR, Clinical Services, and Managed Services.

It has been a wonderful experience getting to know the amazing people on those teams and learning more about what they do!

Q: What is your favorite memory at CareerStaff?

Watching Lex Noren do her Grinch impression during our Holiday party in 2021!

Q: What is the best part of working on your team and at CareerStaff?

The culture within the  Talent Acquisition team is unmatched. I work with a group of the most amazing, caring individuals who really strive to leave a positive impression on everyone they meet.

Q: What is the importance of being collaborative, unparalleled, and supportive?

Being a collaborative, unparalleled, and supportive member of a team is crucial as it fosters teamwork, innovation, productivity, problem-solving, mutual growth, and team resilience. All of this leads to success in achieving team goals.

Pamela Kisner

Nurse Manager, Clinical Services

Q: How would you describe your role and responsibilities on your team?

My role includes being a resource and advocate for our clinicians, recruiters, and clients. Education, remediation, coaching, and qualifications reviews help to make sure that each one of our clinicians are prepared to be successful.

Q: What is your favorite memory at CareerStaff?

This is my “retirement” job. I had retired on Friday April 30, 2021, looking forward to traveling when a friend called to say they were putting together a new Clinical Services team. My retirement only lasted 3 days, and I started at CareerStaff on May 4th!

Q: What is the best part of working on your team and at CareerStaff?

I am a part of an incredible team, even though we have never met in person, they are not only my co-workers, they are my friends. Ashley, Suzanne, Aimee, Jay and Dr. Johnson are a supportive, hard-working team.

Q: What is the importance of being collaborative, unparalleled, and supportive?

Our goal is to support and intervene in any way that is needed. Sometimes it just involves being someone the clinicians can talk to, share their concerns with, and advise on possible ways to deal with the concerns.

We love what we do in helping our clinicians to keep moving forward. I feel that my whole team should share in this honor!
