HR Benefits

Q: Marking your employee anniversary, what is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

The most rewarding aspect of my job is seeing my team grow both individually and together! In addition, seeing how the Benefits Team has grown overall. When I first started at CareerStaff, the Benefits Team was nonexistent and now there are 5 of us.

In 2023 we made the BIG leap to [grow and streamline] our benefits, which was a big win for my team!

Q: How have you made a difference at CareerStaff and in healthcare?

Benefit offerings tend to sway most employees on their place of employment. By properly educating our internal staff and clinicians about CareerStaff Benefits, we can impact those who work with us, our company, and healthcare.

Talent Acquisition

Q: Marking your employee anniversary, what is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

As part of Talent Acquisition, I witness firsthand the positive impact we have on the lives of hundreds of healthcare job seekers. From helping them prepare for interviews to presenting their job offers, our team played a crucial role in assisting these individuals in achieving their career goals.

Q: What is your favorite memory at CareerStaff?

What I find particularly special is how we celebrate each other’s accomplishments, no matter how big or small. We take the time to recognize individual milestones like reaching goals, work anniversaries, adopting pets, buying homes, celebrating birthdays, babies, and wedding showers. These moments have undoubtedly created lasting memories with my team!

Q: Marking your employee anniversary, what is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

I would say making friends who have become like family. I have made some great friends internally and externally. My favorite memory is the Christmas party we had a few years back. Everyone had a blast!

Q: How have you made a difference at CareerStaff and in healthcare?

I believe the strong relationships I’ve built both within the company and outside of it with my travel nurses make a difference. I try to always help where needed, staying thorough and supportive with my nurses on their assignment.

Training and Development

Q: Marking your employee anniversary, what is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

The most rewarding aspect of working in a training role is the chance we get to help people. Whether it’s getting a new hire up to speed or helping a tenured employee with some pro tips on new processes, I have always savored my role’s impact!

Q: How have you made a difference at CareerStaff and in healthcare?

As a part of a training team, we help make a positive impact on the entire company. Additionally, I’ve had the chance to be a part of some big rollouts during my time here. The material and training content we created plays a big role in their success.

Since we also spend so much time with new hires, we can help create a positive environment for feedback and education. I hope that our learners take the tools they learn into their new roles in the healthcare industry!

payroll

Q: Marking your employee anniversary, what is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

After 5 years, the most rewarding aspect has been helping others in their professional growth. I thoroughly enjoy getting to know my team members on a personal and professional level, so that I can better assist them in reaching their goals.

As a payroll manager, I ensure each employee’s success by providing the resources they need to grow. My previous managers provided me with what I needed to get to this point in my career. Therefore, I’m grateful that I get to do the same for others.

Q: What is your favorite memory at CareerStaff?

Traveling to Dallas for the 2019 Staffing Manager Conference! I was able to meet our leadership in person and get to know people across the country. Additionally, I learned a lot about the company and was able to see everyone was working towards the same goal. We had a lot of fun outside of office hours, too!

Senior account management

Q: Marking your employee anniversary, what is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

The most rewarding part of my job is successfully finding a great candidate for my client who works out well and continues to extend. It’s a great feeling to know that my team can come together and provide the support we aim to offer to all our clients.

Even as a recruiter, it was very rewarding to find my candidate the perfect position they loved. Plus, I’ve been lucky to have a team that makes such an effort to be a part of the fun and keep up the “good vibes!”

Q: How have you made a difference at CareerStaff and in healthcare?

Account Managers build rapport and provide healthcare facilities with quality candidates. Once we bring on a new client, I’m their subject matter expert on their compliance requirements, billing, details about the facility, and more.

Afterward, I take this information back to my team so they can recruit with guidance on what the client is looking for. We ensure our clients only have the best, and I provide constant communication to maintain that rapport.

Q: Marking your employee anniversary, what is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

Over the years, building relationships with internal or external business partners, providing support, and figuring out ways to be more effective within my role at CareerStaff has been so rewarding.

One colleague who I’ve learned much from is Nan Courier. Nan is very talented as a project-oriented team member and is exceptionally skilled at asking the right questions and understanding user-end processes. My team and colleagues like her are simply fantastic!

Q: How have you made a difference at CareerStaff and in healthcare?

I have the unique opportunity to provide support to CareerStaff’s Managed Services (MSP) Division, our clients, and staffing vendors. The MSP benefits the healthcare industry by providing a cost-efficient, streamlined approach for facilities to fulfill their staffing needs. Plus, it opens opportunities to staffing vendors that may have never had access to staff at their facility.

Training and development

Q: Marking your employee anniversary, what is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

Training is an incredibly rewarding profession, in and of itself! Being able to welcome employees to the company, share information that will make them successful, and make sure they feel supported in this new chapter are all things I’ve cherished from day one.

My team doesn’t work directly with our healthcare staffing clients or clinicians, but we adapt our programs for the employees who do! The [better] our trainings are, the quicker our employees can make a difference here, and ultimately at the healthcare facilities providing the care patients need.

Q: What is one of your favorite memories at CareerStaff?

Before my wedding, my team threw a virtual bridal shower for me and invited my fiancé as a surprise. It was the most special gift and goes to show that when you create a team of people who genuinely care about each other, it’s hard to have a bad day!

Q: Marking your employee anniversary, what is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

The most rewarding aspect has to be the relationships I’ve built within the company and with the nurses. I love the friendships that have developed here, helping nurses and teammates achieve their goals.

I’ve also had some life milestones while working here such as expanding my family by 3 children. I never felt like it was going to hold me back in my career, and I feel like I have a CareerStaff family.

Q: How have you made a difference at CareerStaff and in healthcare?

On the surface my role is to help other recruiters do what we do best – fill needs for facilities and get nurses jobs where they want to go. Whether it is helping clinicians achieve their career or monetary goals or get through a tough assignment, I hope my positive impact will then allow them to have one on others they encounter.

A Collaborative, Supportive, and Unparalleled Culture

We appreciate these employees and the impact they have made over the years. Their unwavering dedication and consistent hard work make CareerStaff a year-round Great Place to Work®. We’re committed to fostering a positive company culture, and through employee recognition, we celebrate the incredible impact our team has on CareerStaff, healthcare facilities, and clinicians we support.
